We will open our 2024-2025 season on Friday, October 18, with Jesse Palidofsky and Seth Kibel. This is a benefit concert for THIRD ACT, a group of Americans over the age of sixty determined to change the world for the better.

Azalea City Recordings artist Jesse Palidofsky has won numerous songwriting awards. His recording “Dancing Toward the Light” reached #5 Album on the International Folk Radio International charts and “I Am An Immigrant” was a #1 single. His performances include Hugh’s Room (Toronto); “On Your Radar” (NYC); Washington Folk Festival, Phil Ochs Song Night, Common Ground Festival, FOCUS Music, Smithsonian Folk Life Festival and the National Theatre. His new arrangement of “America the Beautiful” has garnered 72,000 views on Youtube.

Jesse will be joined by Seth Kibel at this performance. Seth is one of the Mid-Atlantic’s premier woodwind specialists, working with some of the best bands in jazz, swing, and klezmer. Wowing audiences on saxophone, clarinet, and flute, Seth has won a remarkable 30 Washington Area Music Awards (WAMMIES), including “Best World Music Instrumentalist”
and “Best Jazz Instrumentalist”. Seth has performed at the Kennedy Center, the Carter Barron Amphitheatre, the Lowell Folk Festival, as well as on several European tours. He appears with such notables as Sam Moore (Sam & Dave), Percy Sledge, The Coasters, and Daryl Davis.
